Qualia are Quantum Leaps

Summary

Consciousness and quantum physics may be fundamentally linked through the mysterious process of quantum state reduction. This intriguing theory suggests that our subjective experiences (qualia) occur precisely when quantum states collapse into definite outcomes. By unifying quantum mechanics with consciousness, this framework offers an elegant solution to both the measurement paradox in physics and the puzzle of subjective experience in neuroscience.

Abstract

I contemplate the idea that the subjective world and quantum state reductions are one and the same. If true, this resolves with one stroke both the quantum mechanical measurement problem and the hard problem of consciousness.
