Summary
A case report details the use of very low-dose subcutaneous ketamine as maintenance treatment for a patient with severe treatment-resistant depression. This approach follows numerous studies showing that low-dose subanesthetic intravenous ketamine infusions can rapidly improve symptoms in similar patients. The findings suggest that alternative routes of administration may be beneficial for maintaining treatment effects.

The following case report describes the use of a very low‐dose subcutaneous ketamine as a form of maintenance in a patient with severe treatment‐resistant depression using a retrospective chart review.
