Summary
A reanalysis of longitudinal data supports the mindfulness-to-meaning theory, which proposes that mindfulness promotes well-being by increasing positive emotions through a process of positive emotion regulation. The findings indicate that mindfulness training enhances the ability to generate and sustain positive emotions, which in turn contributes to improved mental health outcomes.
