Physics and Consciousness
arXiv Preprint Archive October 17, 1995
Summary
Quantum physics and human consciousness share fascinating parallels, including the role of observation in shaping reality. New research explores how neural networks in our brains may operate using quantum principles, suggesting our conscious experiences could be linked to fundamental quantum processes. These findings bridge the gap between the microscopic quantum world and our daily conscious experience.
Abstract
Some contributions of physics towards the understanding of consciousness are described. As recent relevant models, associative memory neural networks are mentioned. It is shown that consciousness and quantum physics share some properties. Two existing quantum models are discussed.
