The Efficacy of Hypnotherapy in Reducing Burnout and Related Psychopathologies: Protocol for a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

JMIR research protocols July 17, 2026 Santosha Veeramachaneni, Elizabeth Park, Jeffrey Martin et al.

Hypnotherapy may help treat burnout and related conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, but its effectiveness for burnout specifically is not yet established. This systematic review and meta-analysis will synthesize evidence from peer-reviewed observational and experimental studies on adults who received hypnotherapy for psychiatric symptoms. The review is ongoing, with data extraction and analysis planned through 2025 and 2026. The findings are expected to be submitted for publication by fall 2026. Limitations include variability in study designs and measurement tools.
