PHILOSOPHY AND MENTAL HEALTH.

Wiadomosci lekarskie (Warsaw, Poland : 1960) January 1, 2023 Tetiana Danylova, Anatoliy Vovk, Ihor Hoian et al. 5 citations

The paper argues that mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and stress, are best addressed within a broader philosophical context. Using an integrative anthropological and hermeneutical approach, the authors review literature from ancient and Eastern philosophies, including Epicureanism, Stoicism, Buddhism, and Taoism. They conclude that philosophy provides a guiding framework for coping with life's difficulties, fostering strength, self-confidence, awareness, and empathy. In times of uncertainty, philosophy serves as a source of consolation and helps individuals find meaning and purpose, reconciling them with what cannot be changed.
