Background: Mescaline (3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine) is a classic serotonergic psychedelic with a history of indigenous ceremonial use. Mescaline primarily exerts its psychoactive effects through serotonin-2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonism.
