Myran et al. report that emergency room (ER) visits involving hallucinogens are associated with a 21.32 greater risk of being diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder (SSD).1 Although implications for the development of psychedelics as medicines are discussed, we highlight some important distinctions.
