Summary
Ayahuasca, a traditional Amazonian hallucinogen, has gained attention for its therapeutic potential. In a comprehensive ethnographic study involving 200 participants from various backgrounds, 85% reported significant improvements in mental health after ayahuasca ceremonies, linking shamanism and psychology. The geographical context of the Amazon rainforest plays a crucial role in shaping these experiences.
