Abstract

The article is devoted to the soteriological practice of the schools of Chinese Buddhism -the practice of meditation, its relationship with philosophy.The significance of the theory of two truths revealing the essence of the unity of philosophy and meditation is shown.On the example of the meditation practice of the Tiantai School, known as zhi guan, an explication of the relationship between philosophy and meditation is given.The content of this practice, which acts as a link between the theory and practice of the Tiantai School, is disclosed.
