Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), a lysergic acid derivative, also demonstrates therapeutic potential. These powerful hallucinogens, whose pharmacology involves complex alkaloid interactions, are transforming approaches within psychology and medicine. Rigorous drug studies are now exploring their precise mechanisms and optimal applications, building on decades of understanding their chemical synthesis.
Abstract
This review is limited by the heterogeneity in reporting side effects and the short duration of many studies. Future studies should transparently and systematically present a description of side effects.
