Anorexia nervosa has one of the highest mortality rates among psychiatric disorders, yet current treatments have limited efficacy. Given growing evidence that psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy effectively treats other mental illnesses, this paper argues that research into psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for anorexia nervosa should be funded.
