Evidence that Moved Psychedelic Medicine from the Fringe to the Mainstream in 2022

The field of psychedelic medicine has advanced rapidly in the last 2-3 years, with a notable increase in the number and size of controlled clinical trials, more sophisticated conceptual models for understanding therapeutic effects, and progress toward treatment models that could enable access to safe and effective psychedelic therapies if regulatory approval is granted. Despite these advances, the field remains in its infancy, and much more work is needed to determine the contributions of psychedelics to healthcare and neuroscience.
