Phase-Indexed Epistemology

Integral theory's state/stage distinction lacks a protocol for evaluating the truth of propositions generated during non-ordinary states of consciousness, leading to three failure modes: Globalization, Instrumentalization, and Flattening. Phase-indexed epistemology is proposed as a minimal formalism that tags truth-claims with their generating conditions, provides five transition diagnostics for cross-phase translation, and maps a developmental line from pre-awareness to full navigational use of phase-indexing. The framework makes explicit and portable the integration infrastructure traditionally embedded in long-term contemplative containers, using an integrative depth metric measured by compression loss across phase transitions.
