Cognitive Quantum Tunneling in Belief Alteration

It proposes that counterintuitive quantum behaviors, such as quantum tunneling observed in biological systems like enzymes, photosynthesis, DNA, and microtubules, provide a physical basis for higher-order cognitive processing. The authors contend that belief systems function as conditioned quantum configurations in neural networks, and that profound belief change requires 'quantum jumps' enabled by cognitive tunneling, with creativity serving as the mechanism for such transitions. The synthesis of Goswami's cosmology with Hameroff and Penrose's microtubular theory is presented as a model where consciousness orchestrates phenomenal reality, reshaping understanding of belief plasticity and creative genesis.
