Mysticism involves seeking knowledge of a transcendent divine reality through meditation and mystical experience, which lies beyond ordinary human capabilities and tools of knowing. This research addresses fundamental questions about the nature of mystical experience, its essential characteristics, how it can be experienced, and whether it is inherently religious. The work examines these questions from a philosophical and theological perspective, exploring the epistemological and experiential dimensions of mysticism.
