Beyond the Interface: Decoherence, the Interaction Problem, and the Ground of Personal Consciousness

Decoherence is not a spacetime-internal mechanism but a one-directional interface event that converts quantum possibilities into classical outcomes, dissolving the measurement problem more thoroughly than previously argued. The hard problem of consciousness—why first-person experience exists at all—cannot be resolved by any account grounding reality in impersonal structure, such as configuration space. A personal, necessary, atemporal ground is required as the framework's completion rather than an arbitrary addition. The argument extends a category-mistake analysis from the preceding paper to the interaction problem in philosophy of mind, maintaining that epistemic honesty demands this step rather than stopping short.
