The Child's Perspective on the School-Based Mindfulness Programme, Paws b.

Journal of child and family studies January 1, 2025 Katie Crompton, Alessandra Fasulo, Daphne Kaklamanou et al.

After a 12-lesson school-based mindfulness programme called Paws b, 8- and 9-year-olds in focus groups described using mindfulness for self-regulation, noticed positive changes from continued practice, and retained embedded memories from the training. Children remembered key practices and applied them in daily life. They enjoyed the programme, though not always from the start, observed changes in themselves and classmates, and understood how mindfulness can have positive effects.
