In psycholytic therapy, threshold doses of hallucinogens (LSD-25, psilocybin, CZ-74, and CEY-19) activate unconscious conflict material in a way that is intensely experiential and meaningful for the patient. The drugs' chemical-pharmacological effects can be disregarded beyond their psychoactive role as an adjuvant to the depth-psychological or psychoanalytic process, making this an experimental psychoanalysis.
