ChemInform Abstract: CHLORIERTE 2‐HYDROXY‐ UND 2‐METHOXY‐PHENOXYAETHYLAMINE, ANALOGA VON PSILOCYBIN

Chemischer Informationsdienst Organische Chemie March 9, 1971 Marc Julià, Joel de Rosnay

A classical synthetic route converts a phenol (I) into an amine (VI) through a sequence of intermediates (II), (III), (IV), and (V) or alternatively (VII) and (VIII), achieving yields of 60% or 90%, respectively. The resulting amine is then converted to its diazonium salt and decomposed with copper sulfate to yield another phenol (IX). The abstract describes reaction steps and yields without reporting any biological or empirical findings.
