Effect of the Administration of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) on the Colloid Vesicles of the Pars Intermedia of the Toad Pituitary

Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) administration in toads alters the colloid vesicles of the pars intermedia of the pituitary gland. The colloid vesicles increased in number and size after LSD injection, suggesting a direct effect on the secretory activity of the pars intermedia. The findings indicate that LSD influences the morphology of the pituitary pars intermedia in toads.
