This study describes the subjective effects of DMT use in seven participants from Hidalgo, Mexico, based on semi-structured interviews. Reported effects include heightened sensitivity, a feeling of fading, tingling, deep well-being, time distortion, and very sharp vision. Some participants recalled both pleasant and unpleasant past experiences. Several reported that DMT helped them confront and resolve personal conflicts, and one described substantial, unexpected improvement in a close person who used DMT after stalling in psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment.
