Salvia divinorum: un estudio fenomenológico y cognitivo de la experiencia en usuarios de Latinoamérica y España.

Salvia divinorum, a Mexican mint plant with a long history of traditional use in Oaxaca for religious, healing, and divinatory practices, is now used recreationally in urban Latin America and Spain. Its subjective effects in uncontrolled settings remain poorly documented. This study focuses on the subjective experience and post-hoc interpretation of Salvia divinorum among contemporary users, analyzing perception, cognition, and emotion. It concludes that planned use could have positive therapeutic and cognitive-enhancing effects, but further research with quantitative cognitive science methods is needed to understand its psychopharmacology and neurophenomenology.
