Neurophenomenology and Neoplatonism

The worldview from neurophenomenology aligns with Neoplatonic theurgical insights. Gods and daimons are phenomenologically equivalent to archetypes and complexes in Jungian psychology, which are further explained by evolutionary psychology. Jung saw the unconscious and physical reality as sharing a common root in an unus mundus with both physical and psychical aspects. Parallel reductions in phenomenology and neurology suggest elementary constituents of consciousness tied to simple physical systems—natural processes experienced both externally and internally. These have an eternal formal structure and a material substrate that evolves in time, implying panpsychism. This informs understanding of Neoplatonic Forms, the World Soul, and individual souls.
