[Vegetables as new psychoactive drugs: a narrative review].

Medwave January 21, 2016 Beatriz Rodríguez Salgado, Jorge Gómez-arnau Ramírez, Daniel Sánchez Mateos et al.

A review of psychoactive plants, including those used in shamanic ceremonies and traditional contexts, notes their increasing popularity among consumers of varying experience levels, partly due to easy online access for purchase, cultivation, and information exchange. The authors summarize current knowledge about the most important psychoactive plants, drawing from Internet forums, harm-reduction portals, and scientific texts, to provide updated information for medical professionals and health workers.
