Contemplative practices like yoga involve forms of information beyond traditional definitions, including sensory, tactile, and physical information acquired through sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Yoga engages the body and changes perceptions of its strength and functionality, providing compassion, meaning, awareness, and silence. The practice's information landscape includes physical environment, music, mirrors, smells, and diversity of participants. Embodiment is a new turn in information science focusing on how individuals experience information through the body. This conceptual paper extends literature on transcendental information behavior and illustrates a relationship between information and contemplation.
