Classical Marxism relied on a 19th-century Newtonian view of reality as a predictable, mechanical system. This paper argues that 20th-century physics—especially the concept of emergence from condensed matter physics—along with the non-dual philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, offers a better foundation for socialist theory. By examining phenomena like geometric frustration in spin glasses and Mott insulators, the authors propose that social stability and change arise from a universal consciousness field, not from mechanical laws. This quantum-informed dialectic resolves the tension between individual and collective, echoing the views of physicists like Schrödinger and Heisenberg on the fundamental unity of reality.
