Mindfulness improves the mental health of infertile women: A systematic review.

Journal of public health research July 1, 2023 Finta Isti Kundarti, Ira Titisari, Dwi Estuning Rahayu et al. 8 citations

Mindfulness interventions reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in women with infertility. A systematic review of nine studies from 2011 to 2021 found that mindfulness-based programs, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for stress and anxiety and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for depression, effectively lower mental health disorder scores. The evidence indicates that mindfulness improves mental health in this population, though different types target specific issues. Tailored mindfulness approaches, such as for midwifery, may further enhance care quality and treatment outcomes for women facing infertility.
