Patients undergoing transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for liver cancer often experience psychological distress that can hinder recovery. A randomized trial with 84 patients compared a combination of nursing quality-sensitive indicators and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) against routine care with MBSR alone. After four weeks, the group receiving the combined intervention showed significantly higher scores on measures of emotional attention, clarity, and repair, as well as greater optimism, support-seeking, bravery, perceived nursing service quality, and satisfaction. They also had lower scores on self-dependence, conservatism, resignation, and avoidance coping. The findings suggest that integrating nursing quality indicators with MBSR reduces psychological stress, encourages positive coping, and improves nursing quality and patient experience.
