This essay presents photographs taken during master's research on visual artistic production influenced by ayahuasca consumption in Brazilian urban contexts. The images were captured in a neighborhood in the northern zone of Rio de Janeiro during an interview with an artist who follows the Santo Daime religion. The photographs show both the artist's inspiration related to forest themes, the origin of the psychoactive tea, and aspects of the religion's history, cosmology, and doctrine marked by eclecticism.
