Cantos xamânicos Huni Kuin: cerimônias de ayahuasca, cosmologias e pontes entre mundos

Revista Vórtex June 9, 2025 Leonardo Bomfim 1 citation

Traditional Huni Kuin/Kaxinawá (Acre) shamanic chants, called huni meka, sung during ayahuasca (nixi pae) ceremonies are organized into three phases: pae txanima (opening the rite to call 'force'), dautibuya (bringing 'visions'), and kayatibu (reducing 'force' and closing the ceremony). These chants are intrinsically and inseparably linked to Huni Kuin cosmology and cosmogony, connecting sonic and imagistic, visible and invisible, indigenous and white (nawa) universes. The research used bibliographic surveys, virtual streaming platform research, dialogues with interlocutors, and field ethnography.
