The essay analyzes how yoga affects physiological and psychological stress responses, improves attention and recovery, and leads to better athletic outcomes. Drawing on empirical research and theoretical understanding, it concludes that yoga is a beneficial supplemental activity for athletes seeking to improve overall performance.
