A Categorical Model of General Consciousness.

A mathematical model defines consciousness using category theory, extracting transitivity as its essential characteristic. The model establishes three categorical layers: objects, materials as reflex units, and consciousness itself in a homomorphic relationship. This framework allows functional neurons or biomimetic AI components to be treated as variables, functions, or local solutions, enabling algebraic quantification of consciousness. The approach aims to integrate natural and artificial perspectives, potentially aiding in determining and evaluating consciousness across disciplines. Current consciousness and computation theories are analyzed to support the model.
