Doświadczenie psychodeliczne jako doświadczenie poznawcze

Mystical experiences facilitated by psychedelic substances often include a noetic quality, suggesting they carry cognitive significance. This article examines whether that cognitive capacity is merely subjective and psychological or constitutes a legitimate form of cognition. The philosophical question touches on ontology and epistemology: must the object of cognitive experience belong to physical reality, or can genuine cognition occur within the reality of symbols? Drawing on H.-G. Gadamer's hermeneutics, the author argues that altered states of consciousness can provide recognition of the reality of symbols, even though Gadamer did not directly study such states.
