Sufism: A Philosophy of Inner Perfection and Spiritual Practice

Bulletin of the Karaganda university. "History. Philosophy" series June 30, 2025 H.a. Shimshek

Sufism is a spiritual and philosophical doctrine within Islam that aims to purify the inner world and lead toward spiritual perfection. The article examines its essence, historical development, main ideological sources, the emergence of tariqahs (Sufi orders), and the spiritual bond between master and disciple. Spiritual practices such as dhikr, Sufi music, and meditation strengthen love for the Creator and spiritual connection. The structural system includes the murshid (spiritual guide), murid (disciple), the path of tariqah and its stages, and methods of spiritual upbringing. Sufism is presented as a life philosophy that helps understand the deeper essence of human existence, with cultural, philosophical, and spiritual impact.
