La neurofenomenología en la segunda década del siglo XXI: una revisión sistemática
Revista Académica Internacional de Educación Física April 6, 2026 Viviana Andrea Arboleda Sánchez
A systematic review of recent neurophenomenology research, following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, analyzed empirical studies published between 2021 and 2026 that integrate first-person experiential reports with neural measurements. From 443 initial records, 15 studies met inclusion criteria. Emerging research lines focus on meditation and self-awareness; mind wandering, empathy, and social cognition; hypnosis and pain; and psychopathology of the self and altered states of consciousness. The field shows notable methodological heterogeneity but growing empirical consolidation as a framework that articulates lived first-person experience with neuronal activity in the study of consciousness.
