Some reflections on atmosphere and memory from the perspective of enactive cognition and neurophenomenology

Understanding consciousness and perception beyond Cartesian dualism is essential for fully grasping the concept of Stimmung and its potential to create life-enhancing atmospheres that respond to human action, embodied emotional memories, and place as both natural and cultural context. Insights from neurophenomenology and enactive cognitive science are indispensable for this aim. The paper discusses some of these insights.
