Merleau Ponty: Subjectivity as The Field of Being within Beings. Awareness As Existingness

Revista Científica Arbitrada de la Fundación MenteClara April 27, 2019 Rudolph Bauer 6 citations

Maurice Merleau-Ponty in his later work fundamentally revised his earlier phenomenology, moving beyond Husserl's focus on subjective mind and the subject-object dichotomy. He came to understand that the dualistic separation between self and world dissolves into a direct experience of non-duality within appearance. Being itself is no longer grasped as a relation between subject and object but as a vast, nondual awareness that is the source of both subjectivity and objectivity. This shift represents a transformation from a dualistic to a nondual understanding of existence and knowledge.
