Ontological Approach to the Problem of Consciousness

Consciousness remains a central problem in modern philosophy, particularly regarding its relation to the human mind and brain. This article analyzes consciousness as a fundamental ontological category and traces major philosophical approaches to it throughout the history of thought, with special emphasis on recent conceptions from contemporary Western philosophy. It identifies current trends in investigating the nature of the human mind and evaluates their philosophical significance. The work contributes to a deeper understanding of the ontological, epistemological, and interdisciplinary dimensions of consciousness research.
