Persistent Palinopsia Following Ingestion of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)

Three patients developed persistent palinopsia (recurring or prolonged afterimages) after taking LSD. Clinicians should ask about past LSD use in anyone presenting with seemingly spontaneous, isolated palinopsia. Recognizing this syndrome could prevent unnecessary anxiety and excessive diagnostic testing.
