Ayahuasca: Um Caminho para o Equilíbrio
Revista Científica Multidisciplinar Núcleo do Conhecimento November 13, 2016 Rita Barreto de Sales Oliveira, Renilda Gonçalves Do Amaral
A systematic review of the literature finds that regular consumption of ayahuasca tea in a religious context is associated with improved well-being. The beverage is linked to self-knowledge, treatment of addiction, self-mastery, and better social relationships. The analysis covers ayahuasca's use among indigenous peoples and the three main religious groups: Barquinha, União do Vegetal, and Santo Daime. The evidence suggests that religious ayahuasca use can lead to a better quality of life and a more balanced interaction with the planet.
