A method using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry confirms and measures LSD as its trimethylsilyl derivative. It requires four times less sample than earlier approaches, extends column life by reducing the amount of derivatizing agent, and can detect and quantify LSD at concentrations as low as 10 pg/mL.
