Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is a potent hallucinogenic drug that alters mood and perception. Although self-inflicted cut-throat wounds and other self-harm injuries caused by LSD are extremely rare, recent reports indicate such behaviors are emerging, potentially complicating assessments in forensic psychiatry.
