Theravāda Philosophy of Mind and the Person: Anatta-lakkha a Sutta, Mahā-nidāna Sutta, and Milindapañha
Buddhist Philosophy April 21, 2009 Peter Harvey 2 citations
The abstract introduces three Buddhist texts: two from the Theravādin Pali canon—the Anatta-lakkhaṇa Sutta and a portion of the Mahānidāna Sutta—and one postcanonical text, the Milindapañha. Although these works contain philosophically relevant points and arguments, they are not systematic philosophical texts. To properly grasp their nuances and implications, one must understand their context of thought and practice.
