The Altered States Database: Psychometric data from a systematic literature review.

The Altered States Database (ASDB) is an open-science project built from a systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines. It compiles psychometric questionnaire data on subjective experiences of altered states of consciousness (ASC) from 165 journal articles identified through PubMed and Web of Science. The database includes data from validated questionnaires such as the APZ, 5D-ASC, 11-ASC, PCI, HRS, and MEQ30, covering ASC induced by pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. The data is freely available on the Open Science Framework and the ASDB website, enabling calculation of comparable psychometric values and dose-response relationships for substances that induce ASC.
