The paper attempts to study the importance and relevance of spiritual consciousness as reflected in the epic Savitri by the great Seer poet Sri Aurobindo. The astral travel of Sage Aswapathy and his daughter Savitri act as a mirror for our own untapped potential that can liberate us from the engulfing chains of the material world, also called as maya.
