Optic Disc Anomalies and Maternal Ingestion of LSD

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus September 1, 1978 Creig Hoyt 15 citations

Two infants born to mothers who habitually used LSD during pregnancy each had an isolated bilateral optic disc anomaly, suggesting an early intrauterine insult. The authors propose that LSD may express its teratogenicity in a relatively benign form and stress the need for further investigation into the etiology of optic disc anomalies.
